BIRCH BAY, Wash. – Birch Bay is the most tax-friendly place for retirees in Washington state.
And Sudden Valley came in fifth in a ranking compiled by SmartAsset.com, an online consumer financial information and advice service.
SmartAsset analyzed the impact that a city’s property, income, sales and fuel tax rates would have on a retiree with an annual income of $55,000.
Parkwood in Kitsap County, Barberton in Clark County and the Snohomish County town of Brier place second, third and fourth on the list respectively.
