A man wanted for robbery in Bellingham was picked up by Sedro-Woolley police and is now in the Whatcom County Jail.
Bellingham Police Lieutenant Don Almer says Jimmy Abitia was spotted wheeling a cart full of merchandise out of the Bakerview Fred Meyer store on Black Friday without paying.
A loss prevention officer confronted him in the parking lot and Abitia pointed a gun at the officer and shoved the cart at him.
Abitia and a passenger in his car then drove off.
The loss prevention officer identified Abitia as the suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
The Sedro-Woolley Police Department transferred him to Bellingham Police on Wednesday.
