BLAINE, Wash. — Blaine Police arrested a Blaine Primary School teacher for allegedly assaulting a 7-year-old student.
Sergeant Michael Munden reports the school district says the boy has behavioral issues and learning disabilities.
On Thursday, January 24, the boy entered 53-year-old Catherine G. Hicks’ classroom using vulgar language.
He fell to the ground and began kicking when she verbally tried to correct him, and at least one kick hit her lower leg.
A witness told officers that Hicks then forcefully kicked the boy in the upper left leg.
Officers arrested her and booked her into jail for assault.
