BLAINE, Wash. – A Blaine man faces charges for selling fentanyl that caused a woman’s overdose death in May, 2021.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Aeschli Wilkinson of Blaine died on May 7th of that year.
An investigation found that 31-year-old Tanner Larson had sold pills to her multiple times in the weeks leading up to her death.
Probable cause for his arrest was developed and he had cash, drug paraphernalia and about 100 fentanyl pills in his backpack when he was taken into custody Wednesday, August 3rd.
Sheriff Bill Elfo says users should be aware of the lethal nature of fentanyl and dealers should know that they’ll face homicide charges for deaths caused by the drugs they sell.
