BLAINE, Wash. — A Blaine man is dead after driving off an embankment.
The State Patrol says the 79-year-old man, who has not been identified, was on I-5 using the off-ramp to Birch Bay-Lynden Road at about 5 PM Thursday when he hit the guardrail on the left then went off into the ditch on the right.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Trooper Heather Axtman says it’s believed a medical emergency led to the crash.
