Officer Katelyn Weaver of the Blaine Police Department was officially awarded a Life-Saving Service for her actions on July 19th.
Weaver saved a man after pulling him over for speeding to which he then began to aspirate and shake. The man was no longer breathing and had no pulse by the time Weaver pulled him out of his vehicle.
Thanks to Weaver’s quick response the man is making a full recovery and got to thank Officer Weaver in person at the award ceremony.
Weaver received a letter and plaque from Chief Tanksley as well as a letter from the Chief of North Whatcom Fire and Rescue.
