BLAINE, Wash. — Blaine Police had a bit of excitement Christmas Eve, when they found what looked like an explosive device in a car they were searching.
Officers were searching the vehicle in the department’s evidence bay when a homemade device was found.
The State Patrol’s bomb squad was called to handle the device.
The device was found to be inert, and the area was determined to be safe.
