BLAINE, Wash. — A Blaine Police Lieutenant with 29 years of service to the city is retiring.
The Northern Light reports Ryan King’s last day is Friday, April 16.
Police Chief Donnell Tanksley called King’s institutional knowledge hard to replace.
One of King’s final assignments was responding to the site of the Semiahmoo Park homicide of Thomas Flood last week.
He called that ironic given that the first homicide investigation in Blaine from 40 years ago is ongoing.
