BLAINE, Wash. – A speaker’s refusal to wear a mask brought a local school board meeting to a screeching halt last week.
The Northern Light reports a woman was taking part in the public comment period of the Blaine School Board’s meeting September 27th.
While she thanked the board for expressing community concerns about mask wearing in a letter to Whatcom County leaders, she let her mask fall away and refused to put it back on.
She dared the board president to call the police when he insisted she put the mask back on but he adjourned the meeting instead.
The board continued the meeting online and without public comment later in the evening.
