BLAINE, Wash. — Some more students in the Blaine School District will head back to the classroom on October 12.

Superintendent Dr. Christopher Granger wrote in a letter to families that they plan to bring Kindergarten students as well as some of their language learners to the buildings on a hybrid schedule.

Students will undergo daily wellness screenings by entering any symptoms they are experiencing into a mobile app.

Once schools welcome the first group of students back, the district will begin considering the return of a few grade levels at a time, based on COVID-19 activity in Whatcom County.

Lynden public schools k-2 students will also be re-starting face to face instruction on on October 12th, a week later than initially announced.
