BLAINE, Wash. –  It’s election day Tuesday for Blaine school district voters.

The Blaine School District is asking for an additional 5 cents per thousand dollars assessed value in 2019 and 2020 property taxes to pay for technology and capital projects, and to prevent deferring maintenance on recent facility upgrades.

Whatcom County Auditor Debbie Adelstein says ballots need to be postmarked Tuesday or put in a drop box by 8pm at a location listed on the ballot.
