Blaine voters need to get their ballots postmarked or in a drop box by Tuesday for them to be counted.
The Special Election is for a Transportation Benefit District that would raise sales taxes 0.2 percent.
The tax increase is expected to bring in about $200,000 a year for streets and trails.
Drop boxes are open until 8:00 PM at the Blaine Library and at the North Whatcom Fire & Rescue Station on Birch Bay-Lynden Road.
