BLAINE, Wash. — The community is preparing for the upcoming fishing season with the annual Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony this weekend.
The special ceremony, hosted by Blaine fishermen and Port of Bellingham Commissioner Bobby Briscoe, is scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at 1:30 PM at the Blaine Boating Center.
The Blessing of the Fleet wishes our Blaine fishers a safe and successful season while paying tribute to those fishers lost at sea.
