GLACIER, Wash. — A Winter Storm Warning is great news for fans of the Mount Baker Ski Area.
What the ski area calls “an absolute blizzard” hit the slopes Tuesday building up the snow base and they’ll be opening for limited operations Wednesday at Heather Meadows.
The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Warning is in effect through Thursday afternoon for the Cascades and valleys of Whatcom and Skagit County.
Forecasters expect another 1-3 feet of snow.
The ski area says it’s expecting the weekend to be “a beauty.”
