EVERSON, Wash. – A body believed to be that of a man reported missing in the flood in Everson has been found.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reports the body was found Wednesday, November 17th, at about 1 p.m. in a wooded area in the 600 block of Main Street in Everson.
Jose Garcia’s family reported him missing after he called them to say he was caught by flood waters on Main Street at about 4 a.m. on Monday.
The 49-year-old husband and father was on the phone with his wife when he was swept away.
