BOTHELL, Wash. — A high school in Western Washington will be closed Thursday because of worries about the coronavirus.

Bothell High School is closed after a staff member came to work Monday after an international trip with a family member who then became ill on Tuesday.

That person is currently quarantined in a hospital and being tested and monitored.

The staff member is also quarantined at home for 14 days.

The Northshore School District superintendent says in a statement that Bothell High School is closed while suspect areas are disinfected and they await test results on the ill person from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
