MOUNT BAKER, Wash. — Two 13-year-old Boy Scouts and two adult Troop leaders were rescued from Mount Baker Monday morning.

Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo says the Scouts and troop leaders from the Seattle area spent the night in a cave near North Dome on an attempted summit of Mount Baker.

Air support from Naval Air Station Whidbey and Custom Border and Protection joined in the search.

The NAS helicopter located the climbers at 9:30 A.M. and was able to land and complete the rescue.

The climbers were not injured, but were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
