BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Bellingham Police Department was one of several law enforcement agencies to play a role in arresting a violent sex trafficker from Seattle.
The Department of Justice says 32-year-old Aubrey “Uno” Taylor, who operated in Washington, Idaho and Nevada, was convicted Wednesday of five federal felonies including sex trafficking of a minor, and faces a mandatory minimum of fifteen years in prison.
Taylor used manipulation, threats and violence against the girls and women he forced into prostitution.
Text messages seized in the case show Taylor had planned to recruit even more women before he was arrested.
