LYNDEN, Wash. – Lynden Christian Schools were closed Wednesday, September 29, and will go to remote learning for two weeks starting Thursday, September 30.
The Whatcom County Health Department says the school is experiencing an outbreak of COVID-19 and the school board decided to make the move.
The department hasn’t specified the exact number of cases but says the school has seen uncontrolled disease transmission..
It also says the school has shown “limited adherence” to state requirements for in-person learning.
The school’s football program and other athletics are also on hold.
