BREMERTON, WASH. (AP) – A Bremerton city councilwoman plans to fight a charge that she disrupted Congress by yelling obscenities at supporters during Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing.

The Kitsap Sun reports Councilwoman Leslie Daugs rejected a plea deal Monday and says her attorney will ask to dismiss the case.

At the January hearing in D.C., Daugs shouted an obscenity in response to two Trump supporters who she says were “high-fiving and fist-bumping” in support of Sessions.

Daugs disagrees that she disrupted the hearing and questions why police didn’t notice the two men’s behavior.
