BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It’s been nearly a year, and the California man accused of firing a crossbow at officers was again found incompetent to stand trial.

Court records show Judge Raquel Montoya-Lewis ordered Micah James Godfrey to undergo competency restoration for the third time on the 9th.

Godfrey’s lawyer is appealing this decision claiming the State hadn’t met the requirements to order a third restoration process.

Godfrey is accused of threatening people at Arroyo Park in December 2018 and firing a crossbow at Bellingham Police when they responded.

The 47-year-old is considered incompetent due to paranoid and delusional thoughts.
