MAPLE FALLS, Wash. — The Maple Creek Campground improvement project at Silver Lake Park begins this month.
Crews will widen campground roads and shoulders, install new drainage improvements, and upgrade campsites.
Whatcom County Parks & Recreation expects construction to be done by summer.
The Maple Creek Campground will be closed during this time, as will portions of roads and trails in the area, but the Red Mountain and Cedar Campgrounds will still be available.
Construction work will go from 7 AM to 7 PM daily.
