OTTAWA, Canada – Canada will no longer require a pre-arrival COVID-19 test for vaccinated travelers starting on April 1st.
A senior government official confirmed the change.
Last month, Canada’s Health Minister announced that travelers coming to Canada would be able to present a negative rapid-antigen test at the border as an alternative to a more costly molecular test.
Travelers will still have to fill out the ArriveCAN app to show proof of vaccination for entry.
The United States still requires a negative COVID-19 test for air passengers to enter, but that requirement does not apply at land borders.
