SEATTLE, Wash. – Across the country, lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle are hearing constituents’ concerns about health care.

At Senator Maria Cantwell’s town hall in Seattle last evening one audience member told her Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are stressing people out.

“I’m a mental health therapist, and I just have to say that we’ve seen an increase in clients due to the anxiety of this administration. But my question is, are the Democrats in congress going to present a plan that will repair the ACA rather than repeal it?”

She also said Democrats are united in opposing deep cuts to Medicaid that are in the Senate Republican health care bill.
