BELLINGHAM, Wash – Health care is the topic of a visit to Bellingham by US Senator Maria Cantwell.
The Democrat is talking with health care providers and patients at Unity Care Northwest tomorrow.
Cantwell is vehemently opposed to the Republican health care bills in the House and Senate.
“What is going on is a hoax and a scheme that is not cost-effective for the American taxpayer. Literally will cut people off of access to healthcare. And literally, if the House-bill was mean, this is doubling-down on mean.”
The Senator says the expansion of Medicaid benefitted more than 20,000 Whatcom County residents, and over 75,000 Whatcom and Skagit County resident are now covered by Medicaid.
