WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A man is being held on $1.5 million dollars bail in the stabbing of a person he was caring for.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in the 5000 block of Hannegan Road Sunday night.
The person who made the report was the suspect, 29-year-old Joshua McDonald, who worked as the fulltime caretaker for the victim.
He told deputies he had a psychotic breakdown and stabbed the person several times.
The victim said McDonald’s demeanor changed right after the stabbing and he called 911.
The victim was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
