BURLINGTON, Wash. — Big news for Skagit County shoppers.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Cascade Mall in Burlington will close permanently at the end of the month.
In a statement, the mall said the decision to close came as anchor department stores, including JC Penney and Macy’s, announced closures and the COVID-19 pandemic financially impacted other tenants and ownership.
The mall’s exterior-facing tenants including the AMC Theater, TJ Maxx, Chuck E. Cheese’s and Applebee’s may continue to operate.
