MOUNT VERNON, WASH. – The accused Burlington mall shooter’s lawyer asks for a second competency evaluation.
The Oak Harbor man charged with five counts of aggravated first-degree murder after the mall shooting last September was in court Thursday in Mt. Vernon.
Defense attorneys say they are not satisfied with an evaluation from Western State Hospital and the judge granted them an opportunity to get an independent one.
Arcan Cetin will be back in court April 27.
