BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Be prepared for trick-or-treaters crowding Bellingham streets this afternoon, with several Halloween celebrations taking place in high traffic spots.
The Downtown Bellingham Partnership is hosting a trick-or-treat event from 3-5 PM with more than 100 stores handing out treats to kids in costume.
The Fairhaven Historic District will also have an event from 3-6 while the RE Store is hosting “Trick or Treat in the Fountain District” throughout the Columbia, Cornwall Park and Lettered Streets neighborhoods from 2:30 to 5:30.
The Washington State Fire Marshal urges trick-or-treaters to make themselves visible and use crosswalks.
Drivers are advised to be extra cautious this evening.
