BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The people called for more choice, and the Bellingham City Council listened.
After more than a year of negotiations, the council approved an ordinance on Monday that will allow CenturyLink to offer cable TV services to most Bellingham residents alongside Comcast.
The franchise agreement carries a 10-year term, but CenturyLink can cancel its services after 5-years if it doesn’t get enough customers.
