BELLINGHAM, Wash. – There’s only a couple weeks left to enjoy the food and beer at one of Bellingham’s most established breweries.
According to a press release posted on the Northwest Washington Beer Guide, the Chuckanut Brewery will close its West Holly Street location in mid-October.
The building recently sold and the new owners want to use it for a different project.
The brewery is expanding its tasting room and production facilities at their South Nut location near the Skagit Regional Airport west of Burlington.
They’re also working to open a new beer hall in Portland.
The brewery opened in Bellingham’s Old Town in 2008 and brought award-winning European-style lagers to the ale-dominated Bellingham craft beer scene.
