BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham has installed a new sculpture that has an ever-changing appearance.

The sculpture, entitled “Rain Flower,” was created by artist Noah Ives and was placed in the stormwater pond along Mahogany Avenue north of Costco.

The sculpture is made of 85 sheet steel petals and is designed to visibly change as it ages and as water in the pond fluctuates.

‘The project is the fourth funded by a City program to incorporate artwork in public places.
