City of Bellingham commemorating MLK Day with “a day on”

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The City of Bellingham, Western Washington University and other partners are presenting a virtual event to celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King Day holiday on Monday, January 17th.

It’s called “A Day On: Educate, Advocate and Activate.”

It will feature a live interview with author, historian and advocate Dr. Ibram X. Kendi along with other local speakers and performers.

The event is on Zoom from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The City’s MLK Day of Service Work Party Event in Squalicum Creek Park is full.
