City of Bellingham gives permit to CAST to provide food for the homeless

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham has granted a permit to a long-time, successful street meal service to provide food to the homeless outside of the Bellingham Public Library

The organization known as CAST, which stands for Coffee and Sandwiches Together, started providing hot soup, sandwiches, and a variety of beverages to those in need on Monday.

Volunteers will serve the food every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 6:45 PM at Arch of Restoration at the northeast corner of the library.
