BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The city of Bellingham’s Parks and Recreation Department will be offering free youth summer programs this year thanks to a $50,000 grant from the state.

The SEEK grant, an acronym for Summer Experiences and Enrichment for Kids, will be available for eligible families to have two or more free weeks of day camp for children aged 6-14.

The grant covers multiple day camp options and also funds the PUMP program, which brings pop-up mobile playgrounds to local parks where kids can enjoy themed activities and a healthy snack at no cost.

Registration for the summer programs begins today, Monday, April 11th and all information can be found at cob.org/recreation.
