BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham is joining other Whatcom County cities to update its Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan.
Bellingham’s portion of the plan includes specific mitigation measures for a variety of potential hazards including earthquakes, flooding, tsunami, severe winter weather and windstorms.
Part of the review and update process includes opportunities for public comment.
The City encourages residents to review the existing plan and provide their feedback online by April 30th.
