EVERETT, Wash. — Lawyers for the city of Everett have filed a brief in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals asking that its dress code for bikini baristas be reinstated.
The Daily Herald reports that lawyers say a U.S. District Court Judge erred in ruling that it was unconstitutional for the city to require coffee stand employees to cover up at work.
The city wants to require baristas to at least wear tank tops and shorts.
Bikini stand owners and their workers say the dress code infringes on their civil rights.
