BELLINGHAM, Wash. — If you frequent the streets near the Lakeway Fred Meyer you still have a chance to offer your ideas on how to help traffic move better in the area.
City Transportation Planner Chris Comeau says they’re taking public input online for improvements to the Lakeway/Lincoln corridor.
Comeau said Lakeway Drive connecting to the east all the way out to Lake Whatcom and Sudden Valley is the only way into downtown Bellingham, so it’s a major corridor.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the transportation system around I-5 between the Samish Way and Iowa-Ohio interchanges for future improvements.
The study will examine all uses of the transportation system in the area, including walking, biking, public transportation and vehicular traffic.
