BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham is asking for organizations that could host a tiny home or tent encampment for the homeless to step forward.
The goal is to establish year-round temporary alternatives and services to people and families who are living in vehicles or camping outdoors.
A lengthy list of requirements for encampment hosts includes the ability to provide food, sanitation, security and to screen residents.
The organization needs to have a site secured or detail city owned property that it would use.
The application deadline is December 4th.
