BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham residents may have unusually colored tap water this week.
City of Bellingham Public Works crews will be flushing out water mains starting today and continuing for several weeks.
The City says the essential work will not pose a health risk, but it could potentially discolor laundry and cause a temporary reduction in water pressure.
Residents should avoid washing white clothes and using hot water taps when crews are flushing the area, which will take place between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, though the City says it’s hard to predict exactly when crews will be in specific areas.
