Class of 2023 expected to be first graduating class to occupy new Ferndale High

FERNDALE, Wash. — With work underway on a new Ferndale High school, there’s word on an expected occupancy date.

Superintendent Dr. Linda Quinn says the class of 2023 will be the first graduating class to occupy the new building.

She said parts of the building will be probably be turned over in January 2023, with move-in into those parts over winter break.

On Friday, Quinn told KGMI changes were already underway, with the grandstand already taken down.

She says a bond oversight committee will make sure the new Ferndale High School is delivered on time and on budget.

Quinn says all elements of the project are expected to be turned over to the District in August of 2023.
