PORT ANGELES, WASH. – The Coast Guard is looking for suspects who pointed a green laser light at a Coast Guard helicopter crew conducting training at the Port Angeles coast guard station Wednesday evening.
A Dolphin helicopter crew safely landed after they were hit by a laser multiple times.
The Coast Guard says air coverage transferred to he Whidbey Naval Air Station and another station for a brief period due to the incident.
Two of the three airmen had to be medically grounded pending further eye examinations.
The crew say the laser light originated around 9 p.m. in the vicinity of 4th and 8th Streets on the east side of Lincoln Street in Port Angeles.
