HANFORD, Wash. (AP) – A protective cover now sits on top of a partially-collapsed tunnel filled with radioactive waste at Hanford.
The Energy Department says the hole was filled with more than 50 truckloads of soil, but the cover will provide additional protection.
They’re working to find a permanent fix for the collapse.
