BELLINGHAM, Wash. -You have a few more days to comment on a proposed update to the ordinance regulating accessory dwelling units (ADU’s) in Bellingham.
A notice on behalf of the Bellingham City Council Monday set this Friday April 27th as the last day to comment on proposed changes to the ADU ordinance adopted in 1995 and last updated in 2016.
Some of the proposed changes include increasing maximum occupancy from 3 to 4 people, limiting number of bedrooms to two, and allowing ADU’s on lots as small a five thousand square feet, down from 10,000.
