EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene, Oregon company has developed a test they say can help stop so-called “silent spreading” of the coronavirus.
Enviral Tech‘s swab testing system checks surfaces inside buildings like railings, door handles and air vents.
KIRO reports the company recently tested surfaces in 52 senior care centers and found surface-borne coronavirus in four of them.
Enviral Tech CEO Shula Jaron says testing for virus on surfaces can help companies know if they have these “silent spreaders” on site.
Swabs are sent back to the company with one day results turnaround and the test kits can be bought by weekly subscription.
