BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Some have questioned whether construction activity they’ve seen around Bellingham conforms with the governor’s “stay home stay healthy” order.

Kurt Nabbefeld with the city Planning and Community Development Department says that contractor contacted them with concerns about vandalism and other damage that could compromise the project.

And he says they’re taking requests for work to be green-lighted on a case-by-case basis.

He urges anyone with questions about whether some work can be done on a project they’re overseeing to contact the department.
