CONCRETE, Wash. — After hearing there was interest in opening an adult store in Concrete, the town council sprung into action.
According to the Skagit Valley Herald, the Concrete Town Council passed an emergency ordinance that limits adult entertainment businesses to the same areas as marijuana-related businesses.
The ordinance says adult entertainment businesses and activities are associated with increased crime and they create nuisances that would impact the community’s health, safety and economic vitality.
It points out that one-third of Concrete’s population is made up of minors.
Mayor Jason Miller says that’s not the type of business they want in their town center.
