Conservation groups prepare for Orca Recovery Day in Whatcom County

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Conservation groups have announced a series of events to help celebrate Orca Recovery Day in Whatcom County.

The Better Ground organization says that events will be held across Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

Whatcom County’s Conservation District is hosting a salmon habitat restoration event in Blaine, and a beach cleanup will be held on Lummi Island.

All events will be held on October 16th to raise awareness about the endangered whales.
