PALM BEACH, Fla. — Influential conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has died following his battle with lung cancer.
Limbaugh’s wife Kathryn announced his death on his radio show Wednesday.
Limbaugh learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump days later.
Fox News reports Limbaugh’s program began 33 years ago with only 56 radio stations and now airs on more than 600 stations nationwide.
The Rush Limbaugh show has been a mainstay at KGMI since March, 1991.
Limbaugh is survived by his wife, Kathryn.
