WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Construction work will impact traffic around the county this week.
The City of Ferndale has announced that Hovander Road between Main Street and LaBounty Drive will remain closed to through traffic.
Homes and businesses located north of Scout Place will have access from Main Street, and those with driveways south of South will have access from Smith Road.
Traffic will be detoured via LaBounty Drive in both directions as crews block all lanes of Hovander immediately south of Scout Place.
Meanwhile, drivers in Birch Bay should expect single lane closures from 5am to 5pm through Thursday as crews install stormwater catch basins and storm sewer pipe west of Birch Bay Drive.
Work at the Northwest Avenue – Bakerview intersection continues.
Flaggers and traffic control will be present and drivers should expect delays traveling through this popular intersection.
